Where to link to the author using flaticon?
I am making my own WordPress theme and it is important for me to follow all the rules. The flaticon site says their icons are free, but instead we have to link to the authors like this: Icon made by [author link] from www.flaticon.com
Where should I do this? How are you doing?

I am not a lawyer, but just a designer, and I try in every possible way to avoid such resources with such a stupid license. It seems to be free, but it seems that the authors need to be mentioned somehow, and often this destroys the design (especially the idiotic rules on this subject in the freepik, whose brainchild, by the way, is the flat icon).
Reading their rules is a terrible undertaking, it's easier to shoot yourself in the foot and then kick yourself in the balls with it than to understand all the conditions.
I would advise you to do so. In the footer of the site, put the text, a smaller font size (8pt is fine), the color is faded (so that there is a low contrast with the background) and write:
That way, if they ever want to get to the bottom of you, they'll just issue a Chinese warning instead of rushing a lawsuit.
