Where to develop radio engineering-circuitry?

What do you need to know to develop further in this area? And what are the options for development in this profession? What can you become if you are a radio circuit engineer with programming skills?

Inventor :)
Skifosovsky is out on YouTube and the frequency converter soldered himself, and the plane is already being made from a Zaporozhye engine. Cool type.

Classical circuitry is dying off, as circuitry tricks are increasingly thrust inside crystals, and combining a circuit from ready-made crystals, and even according to datasheets, is, of course, the mainstream, but still something different than what was called this word before.
Perhaps you can go into circuit design of microcircuits, but this is a completely different profession. Since there, in addition to classical circuitry, you will have to master all of physics, up to quantum. In addition, one must understand that few such specialists are needed, and they have not been working alone for a long time.
And yet... Sometimes I am amazed at the imagination of the developers of some mass-produced chips. One such example is the YX8018 garden light chip, a masterpiece of simplicity and functionality.
Everything written above is my value judgment.

I would develop in the direction of programming. "Pure" circuitry without programming is now in little demand, and salaries are small. The better you know how to program, the better your prospects.
