Where to develop Magento 2 or Laravel 5 (symfony 2)?
I’ve been doing PHP programming for a couple of years now, I started freelancing with friends, now I’ve been working in the office for half a year now, I’ve been developing under WordPress / PrestaShop, before working in the office I worked with WordPress, Yii2, Laravel 5, at first working in the office seemed I’m very interested, but now I’m fed up and more and more tasks seem routine and boring to me, this mainly concerns the creation of turnkey sites and stretching the layout on WordPress, things are more interesting with PrestaShop, but this CMS seems to me a little promising. Therefore, I thought about slightly changing the profile in the direction where, it seems to me, there will be fewer routine tasks and more direct programming. But now I am faced with the question of what to choose, I tried both options a little, but it did not help me make decisions, so I have a question for those who worked with them,

It's definitely worth leaving WordPress, but where - see for yourself:

also sat on the wp-shke, there was a wordpress-monkey in the cantor. I made a similar choice towards Laravel, now I'm working with it. And I recommend you.
I mainly write in Yii2, sometimes in Laravel. One project went for revision on Prestashop. I don't want my enemy to dig into this.
Take Laravel, then you can try Symfony.
Nevertheless, comparing the Framework and the ready-made solution is not entirely correct in my opinion. But I will try to outline my thoughts in general terms.
Laravel - lightweight, beautiful, implements and uses all sorts of new fashionable things. Writing small projects, all sorts of rest api is convenient and fast. It's good to learn and peep beautiful implementations on it. But still, if something is big, then dependencies will be pulled, a modular architecture will appear .... in general, most likely the project will go towards Symfony, although it depends on the project itself. Because quite small, then you can study it quickly enough and then use it in parallel with other solutions.
Symfony is cool, flexible, big. You can cut projects of any complexity on it. Huge distribution of both solutions based on it, and individual components.
Magento 2 is a turnkey solution for e-commerce. Quite large and bulky, but nevertheless very functional and flexible. This solution is already from the world of the enterprise, so it does not so quickly draw all sorts of newfangled things into the core (although in a specific implementation (project) no one bothers to connect and use anything), but it also implements its own interesting approaches. By the way, the console in M2 is based on the symfony console.
Well, and further, good developers are in demand here and there, you can twist a little both and see what the soul lies more in.
