Where to copy library files for VScode?

Where to copy library files for VScode? I searched on the Internet, but there is no clear answer to my question. If I understand correctly, then the files need to be thrown into the folder where the project is located.

If the libraries are installed via pip, then you do not need to copy them anywhere. Otherwise, just copy the files into the project as normal source files.
