Where or on what is it more convenient to create your own database (wiki)?

I'm starting to accumulate various archives with photos, books and various lists of all sorts of things. I want to make my own database or archive in which all this can be placed. I see it as an analogue of Wikipedia, only with not a small margin for storing photos. I want it to be possible to make a main page with sections and to be able to go to other sections where you can put blocks of text and attach links to albums with photos. Whether it will be on the Internet or on a PC, it does not matter. What applications, programs or platforms would you recommend to make such an archive flexible enough?
