With such a codec, the minimum delay is obtained, but the encoding is fast, however, the sound quality suffers. It is better to look towards more modern software that uses the Opus codec - it supports scaling: if the channel is weak, the sound will be worse, if it is stable, the sound will be at the appropriate level.
