There is a VPS on scaleway and recently I noticed that it periodically becomes unavailable, there is no ping, somewhere about once a week or two. On the hoster's panel, it is shown as working, that is, it is physically turned on. Only reboot from the panel helps. Only php-fpm, nginx and mysql are installed there. Where and what can I look at in ubuntu server 16.04 to understand what is the reason for such strange behavior?

in this case, we advise you to restart the server, when ping disappears again and, if it is possible to connect to the server without a network (for example, if your hosting control panel has a network-independent console), check the operation of the Network Manager service with the systemctl status networking command , and check the log messages (/var/log/syslog or dmesg).
