Where in Moscow should a ninth-grader nephew go to study?
Hello!
My nephew is going to the ninth grade in September, and it just so happened that he needed to change schools. Since he is fond of programming, the conclusion is simple: you need to go to a specialized lyceum.
So, dear habrazhiteli, what specialized lyceums in Moscow can you recommend? District - VAO, but it does not matter. Payment is also not important. The main thing is that the institution should not be hacky, so that they really teach something there.

Try to look at schools at universities. From what I can remember, google, there is a school at the Moscow State Technical University. Bauman . Unfortunately, often such schools are designed for grades 10-11, so it will be difficult for a ninth grader to find a suitable one.
There are schools at MEPhI . Most have 9th grade. Previously, after graduation, there was preferential admission to the university.
I highly recommend MMTL 1501 . I myself graduated more than 5 years ago, everyone who hmm ... was dragged there on our recommendation too.
But you are a bit late on this issue...
I highly recommend the school Intellectual
I 179
Still SUNTS MGU, but it is for 10-11.
All major all-Russian programs in programming are from these three schools (not lyceums).
The location of the school at this age should already be spit (imho).
I strongly support SUNC. By the way - there are programming circles not only for your own, find out. Optionally, the child will pull himself up very well.
I would also recommend the lyceum the second school.
You can go to a European university for a technical specialty. let him complete his 11th grade and go there. Moreover, it is not difficult to go home to Moscow.
I advise your nephew to drop out of school and choose a good IT college, and after graduating from it, you can already unlearn at the university under the accelerated learning program (3 years) for graduates of technical schools and colleges. I personally went down this path and do not regret it at all. immediately after graduating from the technical school (not even waiting for its graduation) he began to make a career as a programmer and by the time he graduated from the university he had upgraded his skills to the level of a leading developer. Of the Moscow technical schools, I chose the Moscow Technical School of Informatics and Computer Engineering. I studied in the period from 2001 to 2005, and I was pleased with the level of programming training and (most importantly for a programmer!) algorithmization. True, what is the situation there now, whether the former teaching staff has been preserved or not, I do not know. Almost 8 years have passed.
