Where do you write down your ideas?

I don’t know about you, but different ideas constantly come to my mind: “you can make such and such a site”, “oh, it would be a cool service!”, “I should start a blog about that”, and also “write an article about this” , and of course, waking up in the morning: “both! this is the coolest business idea that has ever been conceived!”.

It is not always possible to implement all this right away, and over time, ideas melt away, so it’s better to sketch key points somewhere without leaving the cash register.

But where is it?

- Checks, napkins and other pieces of paper - will quickly get lost if they are not put in a Strictly Defined Place.
– Carry Moleskin™ everywhere with you – it is also not always at hand, and if it is at hand, then the pen must have been lost somewhere. Yes, and recording while standing in the subway is inconvenient.
- iPhones-androids-blackbury now many have all sorts of - maybe there? Not bad, but where and how exactly? So that with a change, loss of a device, etc., without making a backup, you don’t lose your ideas. But many of the ideas are shelved "for centuries" - that is, for many years to come, and it will be a pity to lose them.

There are also all sorts of evernotes, Google docs and other web notebooks. It would be nice, but it’s not quite tailored for quickly sketching out a new idea, and there are already a lot of documents and notes in which ideas will simply be lost (unless you put them in a separate folder, but then each one is like a new document / record?).

So the main question is: Is there any idea application or web service specially designed for storing ideas?

And a secondary question, followed by the following: And where is the guarantee that all our brilliant ideas are not aggregated by this service, and the owners of the “startup” do not read them over morning coffee? :)
A little paranoid, but you shouldn't forget about paranoids either.

In such cases, I write a letter to myself by mail. At the same time, I put a special mark in the subject line, which allows the filter to put the letter in a separate folder. When I have free time, I scroll through and delete naive and frankly stupid ideas (a fresh look is very important). The rest I try to implement as best I can.

I usually write in Evernote or moleskin and then photograph the page in Evernote. I don’t suffer from paranoia about my personal notes, and I don’t store working materials there.

I use TiddlyWiki + synchronization via Dropbox
A good article about TiddlyWiki, in Russian is here .
But I think Evernote is a more convenient solution if you have constant access to the Internet.

To be honest, I always keep it in my head until I get to a computer or a piece of paper. Usually then, by the time of notation, thoughts are ordered and then easier to read. And from notifiers I use OneNote. In addition, it is also available for win-phones.

AwesomeNote on the iPod, whatever is needed is dumped on GoogleDocs.
I don’t know the services (if EverNote isn’t right), the application is OmniNote, OneNote?
No one can give guarantees (even if they try), except that beyond a certain threshold number of notes it is physically impossible to read them all.

A bunch of thoughts are constantly swarming in my head, so it’s impossible not to write down in my case. So far I've opted for Evernote. If the idea is voluminous, I use the voice recorder on my phone.

ideas Choose the best ones and start implementing them right now
Take your every step in the name of their implementation
P.S. sheets of paper taped to the walls, an erasable board, text files in a Strictly Defined Location (with backup, inside a crypto-container), a program for constructing flowcharts

method has proven itself very well, I have been using it for over a year.

I create a simple text file on the desktop and write the details of the idea there. Then the most interesting ideas are constantly hanging on the desktop. And I'm already transferring the doubtful ones to a folder. Simple and convenient.

A lot has already been said, and about Evernote too. Personally, I use the scheme desktop Evernote + Chrome Evernote Clipper + Evernote for Android + Evernote Clipper for Android .
Tried many ways (file graveyard on disk, calendar on phone, note taking apps, Springpad...). But in the end, all this died and was lost in memory. As a result, I switched to Evernote and am satisfied. For managing notebooks and structure, the desktop application is probably the most convenient for me. Evernote Clipper has recently been updated and does its job very well. The main thing here is to correctly build the internal architecture of notebooks and groups for quick search.
For thoughtsI create a separate notebook for each topic separately, there is also one common notebook for thoughts on the implementation of something. When thoughts come on the road, I write them down in a new note on my phone. You don’t have to worry about it anymore, Evernote, when the Internet appears, everything will sync correctly and save it to the cloud.
Recently, I've been thinking about buying a paper notebook to write down daily plans. I look towards Moleskin to make it easier to transfer to the same Evernote.
