Where did the menu go in woocommerce?

Weird situation, I created a menu ( wp_nav_menu ), it displays fine on all pages except "Cart", "Checkout".

What does the markup have to do with it, i.e. html that is built when wp_nav_menu is called, and there are even links to pages, but the letters themselves are gone.
