Where can you take a large number of attractions, places?

I don’t know where you can get a large number of places, geographical objects for a home project. For example, you need to get places / objects within a radius of 5.000 meters or in a city.
Through the Google Places API, very little can be obtained, with a radius of 5000 meters it finds only 20 places (only large stores), although this is not the case.

Found on OpenStreetMap , but I had to write a script to convert to GeoJSON and remove unnecessary marks (signs, user points, etc.).
