Where can you store your notes from books?

5 years ago, I seriously started reading various literature, I soon realized that without notes in books "about the most important" and re-reading them after a period of time, it is useless to read books. Solving this issue, I came to the conclusion that my quotes and notes will be exclusively in electronic form in the reader application, otherwise if they were directly in the books, the disadvantages are that the probability of losing the book along with them was high, books take up space and cost more , and in any application there is a single note space, which is extremely convenient. But no matter how ironic it may sound, due to stupidity or a human factor, I cleaned (reset to factory) the phone and my notes for a year and a half flew away with them ...
After I started looking for an online service with synchronization to the cloud, it was Bookmate, with the hope that they will be in good hands, after all, the service has not been on the market for the first time, the guys are probably reliable. Yes, of course, good afternoon. After using the application three years later, they released an update for the mobile application, which ended up displaying notes very incorrectly (in short, the whole book was a note, the whole book was a huge highlighted note). This was far from in one book, I soon realized that my past notes are no more, but there is one huge one. I contacted support, bombed them as soon as I could, I received different answers from them, but the meaning was the same, "the developers are solving this issue, we are not sure how soon the problem will be solved", and now, after 3 months, I realized that about my notes everyone has already forgotten.

Now the question is: where can I keep notes and quotes from books in electronic form with a high guarantee of their safety. Of course, it is highly desirable that there be the possibility of minimal sorting and grouping. It is clear that ordinary notes on the phone will not work

. I would be extremely grateful.

I use the now fashionable Zettelkasten method, namely the Obsidian program .
I store files on Google Drive, synchronize with my Android phone using the FolderSyncPro app.

Keep information in mind.
Information not needed? The garbage collector will erase it after a long period of non-use
. Need information? Trying to remember it will strengthen the neural connection and you will remember this information better to use it next time.

I use the Livelib service for this, where you can mark books as read, rate and leave personal notes for each book. So far it hasn't let me down.
Universal services: Evernote, Notion, Google Keep also have a place to be for this.

The method is peculiar, plus it’s not entirely clear what you are reading on, but if it’s Android, then the FBReader program has bookmarks that are created by highlighting text right when reading. Try it - they have a free version, and there are almost no restrictions in it.
They also have a kind of FBReader Book Network that allows you to synchronize a lot (including bookmarks) via google drive. I haven't tried it myself yet.
In addition, FBRider exists for a whole range of operating systems and devices, but what is supported in each specific version is better for you to look at.

I don’t really bother, and in this case I use the standard note-taking application, and if I need to clean the phone, or transfer it to another device, then I just export them to the sd card

After Litres "lost" my notes from a 1000+ page book, I ordered a mini-program that exports both quotes and bookmarks to regular txt files. I share the idea that this user data should be exported in a good way with one button, or even automatically. But since this is not allowed, you will have to win back your own records.

MyTetra is a full-featured cross-platform note manager (PIM-manager) used to collect and accumulate various kinds of information. All records (notes, articles) are organized in a tree structure, and are also supplied with keyword tags that allow you to quickly find the necessary records.
