Where can you go after mekhmat?
Hello. My studies at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics have not yet come to an end and there is still time to decide on a profession, so I want to take advantage of this.
What kind of help do I want from you: help me create a kind of cluster of professions where I can go after the Mekhmat, so that the knowledge and qualities obtained at the Mekhmat can be applied to a certain extent. That is, after the Mekhmat, it is not suitable to go to the theater as an actor.
Now a little about me and my skills :
Student of the Mechanics and Mathematics of BSU (=Belarusian State University). I recently realized that working as a programmer is not for me. I can't sit for 8 or more hours and program. Although I have programming skills.
Programming skills that will be at the junior level by the end of the studies.
! Knowledge in mathematics. Everything we go through, I teach conscientiously. The level of teaching mathematics is high. By the way, I can do math for 8 hours a day or more.
Constantly improving knowledge of German and English.
! Strong logical thinking. Hence, analytical skills.
Well-read, hence erudition, hence sociability.
What can you suggest, but so that it is not as uniform as programming, but at the same time not clerk work (no, office work is suitable, but not of the same type, but more intense, some kind of movement).
So far I have settled on a business or financial analyst. You can try to get into SAP courses at the university.

"! Strong logical thinking. Therefore, analytical skills." — Well, then use these abilities to find a profession, don't you?
First, let's criticize a little:
"Well-read, therefore erudition, therefore sociability." - if the first and second are somehow connected, then the third is weakly connected by the first two.
“What can you suggest, but not to be as uniform as programming” - somehow you immediately screwed up programming there :) If you don’t be a coder monkey, then IMHO there is nothing of the same type especially.
If you want to travel, then you need to go in the direction of implementation, travel to companies / factories, etc., etc. and implement something. But as for me, you don’t really need to think like that there, but you have to be infinitely patient with users.
If you want a lot of money and apply mathematics, then you should go into quants and deal with algorithms, this is closer to financial analysts.
If you want to do something interesting / scientific, then graduate school and most likely abroad, there you can travel and apply knowledge.
Well, if you want a lot of action, then welcome to the business from the buy-sell series.
development of algorithms for complex systems (not programming!)
military development of systems
behavioral models of robots
artificial intelligence
space technologies
financial market analytics
information protection and cryptography analytics
industrial espionage :)
design and modeling of complex products and processes
modeling of explosions, waves, weather, markets
SAP courses are amazing! It certainly won't be redundant. For example, they invited me to work in Minsk, they offered quite normal money. And if SAP is of interest, then it is quite possible to try to get somewhere as an assistant to a junior assistant as a junior consultant for not the biggest, but quite tolerable money, and then gain experience, knowledge and skill. Usually after a couple of years, salary rises sharply. Usually this is due to the transition to another office for a higher position. So keep it up! =)
