Where can I see any download logs?
Good afternoon, I ran into such a problem, took a dedicated server, installed debian 8 and installed the Xen hypervisor.
I set the boot priority in grub to xen and the server itself disappeared from the network, I climbed through kvm to the server and just in case checked whether virtualization support was enabled in the BIOS, it was enabled, and by default. In kvm I observe endless attempts to boot Xen, it comes to the moment downloads and goes into reboot, I actually don’t have time to see anything, I would like to know where you can see the logs and has anyone come across this?
Thanks in advance for your replies and your time.
UPD:
I found this fragment in the logs (/var/log/messages), does it affect the loading crash?

I solved the problem, I'll leave the information here:
The problem was the incompatibility of Skylake technology with xen 4.5 and below. From the Debian 8 repository, it downloads xen 4.4, so to solve the problem, you either need to install xen 4.8 from sorts (there was a release), or switch to Debian 9 and xen 4.8 is installed from the repository there.
I want to thank Ilya for " does not work correctly on all machines ", after that I deigned to examine the list of xen versions.
