Where can I get ideas for real and interesting Java projects?

The meaning is something like this: I'm learning Java (not my first programming language). I would like to find somewhere, somehow, an interesting project for myself, which, perhaps, will even be very difficult to write.
Google gives out several variations that, by the way, do not seem interesting to me from the word at all:

1. Implementation of algorithms
   
2. Problems like "Project Euler"
   
3. Storage system for books, hospital records, etc.
   

The question is, are there any sites or resources where you can get some really interesting ideas? Or maybe there are sites where you can find like-minded people to start some kind of project to write all together?
