Where can I get bare linux?

I tried to install Arch linux but ended up ruining my hard drive and nerve cells,
In general, the goal was to install Arch and i3 but very GREAT Arch installation tutorials helped me to such an extent that I ruined my ssd :\ . So is it possible to get pure Linux without a graphical shell without the imprint of any company.

Install Ubuntu. Do not suffer.

Set the axis in which you can currently work comfortably, and only after that experiment with distributions in the virtual machine. As soon as you have achieved the desired result there - put your creation on real hardware.

yes you can every linux has minimal builds. that don't have graphics.
You can also get acquainted with gentoo, you should enjoy it, especially the installer.

The most 'pure linux without a graphical shell without any company's imprint' is gentoo, if we are talking about the operating system and not the bare kernel, since in most cases packages are built directly from source, often the link in .ebuild goes directly to github . Of course, the gentoo 'maintainers' themselves also leave an imprint, in the appropriate patches, on the selection of software in the portage repository, but to a lesser extent, without interfering with the flexibility to do it all yourself.
ps if there is a graphical shell and gentoo, if desired, there is even an option with precompiled binaries, everything you like - ready on a silver platter but configured by someone else.
The most detailed instructions, and most importantly, going through the installation process, you begin to understand exactly how everything is arranged inside, which is very important for learning. A huge and friendly community, and many of the instructions from arch will do, and since working with gentoo gets the right vision of linux concepts, instructions from other linux like ubuntu also help, although you start to understand the inadequacy of most of them.
I don’t advise you to start with real iron, although if the goal is to step on as many rakes as quickly as possible, then yes. I also strongly do not recommend for a beginner to tinker with the kernel configuration, and although this is also very important as part of the training, it is better to wait a little with this.
Only gentoo allows you to tune the assembly to such a high quality that the consumption of resources (ram and disk) will be minimal, as much as possible in principle. And at the same time, a lot of things are automated or provided with convenient utilities.
But it will take so much effort that you will begin to understand why entire companies in the world are engaged in this process, since ultimately you personally become the gentoo maintainer.

Install gentoo. While reading the manuals and installation, you will understand how it works. And all the same, you will need a package manager, unless of course you are a pervert to collect everything manually and track dependencies. Therefore, it will not work without a distribution print at all.

Okay, google.
Linux from scratch.
Fascinating, long and (probably) fruitful sex is guaranteed :D If you suffer for a long time - someone will succeed :)
If you don't want to start from scratch, you can take gent or slack. In gent (in real gent) there is not even an installer - only by hand, only hardcore. If you still want a gent, but with an installer - take Calculate - it's actually a "gent with an installer", although something has been redone there.

You can, but if you couldn’t install Arch, for which there is an excellent installation manual, well, in principle, you don’t need to know anything more than basic things, then you won’t have enough knowledge to install something even more hardcore. And most importantly, how will you use them further? Roughly speaking, you ask how to buy a fighter jet, but you don't even know how to fly an ordinary small propeller plane. Well, what for a fighter then?
