Where can I get AVR ASM for MacOS?

I want to program in Assembler language for AVR microcontrollers, for example ATmega8. I have a MacBook with macOS High Sierra installed. I prefer to write code in Sublime Text text editor. But where to get a compiler? All I could find was inserting ASM code into C programs, which is not the same as pure ASM.
