Where can I get a list of streets?

Or maybe someone knows where you can get a list of streets for the city (not the Russian Federation)?
And then something OpenStreetMaps is a bit tight. Or maybe you know the correct api request how to get a list of streets? Mine does not give the result at all. (And if it did, then the array of everything inside the specified rectangle, and not just the streets, and not only for a particular city.)

Any other ideas where to get the current list of streets for the city?

The OSM API is for editing data only . The end product of OSM is a planet dump . And it is not intended for the end user, it still needs to be prepared.
But you can already download the country you need from the geofactory . Use osmconvert to cut out the desired city. Use osmfilter to leave only objects with address tags . And then osmconvert turn them into a CSV list from where you get a list of possible streets and stuff.
