Where can I get a keyboard controller?

Good day. There was a need for some foot buttons, so I'm looking for a controller for a keyboard, USB or PS / 2. Ideally, a board with a bunch of pins that can be connected with a pedal and get the desired symbol, with the ability to press up to 5-6 keys at the same time.
It wouldn't be bad if this controller didn't cost $50+shipping+taxes+beer.

Maybe it's easier to disassemble an unnecessary keyboard? There is just a small scarf with USB / PS / 2 and a bunch of pins to which the matrix clung. And three LEDs =)
