Where can I get a computer with a "powerful" processor?
Hello.
Quite often, the task began to surface for me - to collect chromium.
Unfortunately, my computer (i5-4440) can do this in about 4+ hours.
Considering that the percentage is loaded at 100%, I suspect that it is precisely this that is missing.
More precisely, there are not enough cores.
I googled a little, the following came up:
1. you can try to buy a CPU with a large number of cores (this is a Core i7-6950X, etc. for 60-100tyrov, plus look for a new mother).
2. you can buy a used server (the same 100k), but it's not obvious whether this will be useful, because there are 2 processors with 4-6 cores each, and it's not a fact that it will work for at least some time. (I "chased" a server with a pair of xeon E5-2620, it assembled chromium in 2.5 hours, not bad, but I can't master this one, even used one).
3. an ordinary desktop computer, but with two i7 processors with 4 cores each?
4. Wikipedia also talks about the old (2010?) LGA1366 + Core i7-970, they seem to have 6 cores, but it's not clear if there will be a gain in speed. And LGA-2011 + Core i7-3930K. (22tyr per cent).
Which side is worth looking into? Is it really possible to spend [significantly] less than 100k (mother + percent, the rest, conditionally, is)?

It's easier to order some powerful instance for this watch from VScale, Amazon, DigitalOcean, Heroku, Openshift, Google Cloud Platform, etc.
Moreover, you can automate the entire procedure up to creating a server, uploading data, performing operations, getting the result to yourself, and destroying the server.
Payment by the hour.
For the amount of 100,000 rubles, you can do this for a couple of decades.

If the task is a narrow task for which a computer is being searched for - is to assemble chromium, then you can try to rent a vps with an hourly payment. From digital ocean, you can get a machine with 20 cores and 64 GB of RAM for ~ $ 1 per hour. I'm sure if you dig deeper and search (on Amazon, in openwork, on Google, on lesser-known providers), you can find more cores for this price.
