Where can I find the Dalvik VM code?

I really want to figure out how Dalvik VM works on android devices. To begin with, I decided to figure out where the file responsible for the Dalvik VM is located. I found that Dalvik's Cache is stored in the Data/Dalvik-Cache directory. But where the Dalvik VM files are stored is a very big question for me. Tell me in which direction the MNP are moving in order to quench their curiosity.

You have a strange idea about the operation of a virtual machine.
The files stored on the device will in no way help you understand how it works.
