Where can I find meta information about an object?

Somewhere I saw a resource with a huge database of surrounding objects, something like wiktionary.org, but convenient for automatic processing, can anyone come across something similar?
The meaning is, you throw a request there, for example "python", the service gives out that it can be a snake, or it can be a programming language, and each of these objects is tied to a specific identifier.
