Where can I find java projects?

Please tell me where you can look for projects in which you can take part, for example, on a free basis as a java developer. My interest is to improve knowledge, experience, review of specialists.
More specifically, I'm looking for a place where I can select a 'vacancy' by project type, stack used and team composition, quickly connect and start without the hassle of regular hiring.
Maybe there is a certain pool of tasks that you can take on, do, get a code review in response, and so on?
And if I made a mistake with the tags to the question - please correct me. I'll make changes.

Open source is not for junior developers. No one will dig into your shit code for free.

Review code from a non-professional will not do any good. Review code from a professional is already training. Find professionals who are willing to train for free? Hmm... Although I remembered, livecoding.tv had an idea with mentors. They just announced. I don't know how much it worked for them.
