Where can I find information about radio communication?
Hello. There is a lot of literature about radio electronics, usually detailing the operation of individual radio parts, and simple receivers. But usually everything stops at the superheterodyne or earlier. Where can I read about more modern radio transmitters and receivers? Digital radio communications, etc.

Read up on SDR (Software Defined Radio).
Perhaps you need to start with digital signal processing. Then you can read books on DSP, of which there are many. There are simple ones like "The Scientist & Engineer's Guide to Digital Signal Processing" by Steven W. Smith (available for free download from the Analog Devices website), there is a very serious textbook by Oppenheim and Shaffer "Digital Signal Processing", there are many others. It is important to understand how the discrete Fourier transform works, and how filters (recursive and non-recursive) work.
You also need to know the types of modulation, the operation of modulators-demodulators, etc.
as usual, google for phrases.
find unknown wordings in the found material and google them.
after several iterations, the necessary cloud of knowledge within the topic of interest will accumulate in the head. along the way there are fundamental articles and books.
which is not clear google further.
