Where can I download the database of barcodes and product names
When writing a term paper, I needed a database of barcodes for goods and (at least) their names. Having searched the Internet, I did not find anything: everywhere they write that such databases do not exist in the open. But after all, there is such a base in every supermarket, has no one posted it on the net so far? It's not classified information.
Therefore, I decided to ask the Khabrovites, maybe someone will give a link to at least some base of barcodes. It is generally pointless to buy such a base (because it’s just a cursive), and manually stuffing it takes too long.

If you just need a database with some number of real products with real barcodes - then please dl.dropbox.com/u/959328/products.xls - there are about 3000 products, almost all of them have a barcode. Assortment - cables, adapters, tools.
And what does "base of barcodes of goods" mean?
IMHO, at each enterprise they independently bind the nomenclature to barcodes: either upon acceptance of the goods, they put the corresponding position from the goods directory in accordance with the barcode pasted on the goods; or, if they print their own barcodes for goods/price tags, they generate a barcode based on a unique price tag/item number.
What prevents you from downloading absolutely any price list on the Internet, and generating barcodes at least by line number for each product?
Manufacturers have such a thing as "Specification" for new products
. From it, supermarkets stuff goods into their database.
Actually, I can provide such a base PURE FOR "just a course student"
Well, yes, every supermarket has it, but why should they lay it out? It is also necessary to separate the header codes into some kind, unload, etc. And this is not really some kind of base, just information is entered as new products arrive. Oddly enough, there is no ready-made base (at least I didn’t see one, or those numerous supermarkets with which I dealt with it at that time did not use it) and each supermarket fills it from scratch gradually.
Google GEPIR, GLN. Money is taken for access to the database of EAN codes, no one will give them for free. It costs about €90 per year for access to the German GEPIR and N money per year for GLN in your country of residence (they will not give an individual).
The option is to write a simple parser and set it on some online store. :)

The local database, in .csv format (excel) contains the most common and popular goods: Alcohol, drinks, food, tobacco, pet products, cosmetics, goods for home and garden. Suitable for any average convenience store. Over 76,000 pieces.
You can check the codes here www.3088317.ru/shtrih.html
I assembled a database for a grocery store for 1C retail or trade management. Who needs it - download blog.erofeevonline.ru
There is such a thing as EAN . The manufacturer can mark the product with its own internal code, but must accompany it with the EAN barcode. These codes are the same.
I would not refuse from the nomenclature database for most product and technical names with EAN codes, but the trouble is that this code can be 8-digit and 13-digit. It has something to do with piece goods, its own troubles.
