I would like to solve typical programming tasks without being tied to a language. Something like a search in a graph or a tree.

I can recommend a couple of books
"Olympiad Problems in Programming" - Fedor Menshikov
"C/C++ in Problems and Examples" - Kultin.
They have a variety of tasks, for every taste and YAP .
Here 's another ozone prompted, but I did not feel these two.

There is also such a repository , the README describes tasks that can be solved in almost any language.
Again, on the same github, you can find solutions to them in any language.
