Where and how to show your work to the employer?

For the first time I make a response to the employer, but I don’t know how to show the work. I posted the work on GitHub. Do I need to link to my repositories? Please explain, because I did not find anything on the Internet, or I searched badly.

• Use a page on some freelance exchange (portfolio)
  
• Behance as an option
