Should I combine my personal blog and portfolio?

Good afternoon.
I do freelance web development and occasionally write to my personal blog about everything.
My blog has already been created on the domain containing my last name, but the portfolio site presenting me and my services is only under development. When it came time to register a domain for a portfolio site, I thought, should I merge these two sites into 1? That is, make your portfolio on a nominal domain and describe my prof. activity and in the same place make a link to your blog in the /blog subdirectory (for example, ivanPetrov.ru/blog). What do you think is more convenient and better? How will customers react to this? Is it worth it to tie your prof. activity with nominal domains (for example, ivanPetrov.ru) or it is better to register something abstract and share personal life in the form of a blog and prof. portfolio activities.
Maybe someone knows interesting, successful examples when a personal blog was combined with a site demonstrating its prof. activity, not necessarily in Runet? You can even throw your site for an example.

The best (worst) indicator of a person's failure is an abandoned blog. This means that, once inspired by the idea of bringing good to people, he quickly got tired of it. And if such a situation is visible directly from the portfolio, then this will give a good hint. Therefore, I am only for if you blog with a portfolio, in either of the two outcomes, it will make you understand a little more about you.

Hey blogs are different.
If the blog is about the same thing as the portfolio, then you shouldn't split it.
If in the blog (.)(.) and in the portfolio the design of corporate sites and you are not artlebedev, then I think it’s worth sharing
I would consider it as:
- I’m a person: pictures of cats, notes on how to fix a crane and what kind of BMW I want
- I company: portfolio, feature articles, certificates, etc.

Western developers, as a rule, do not hesitate to keep a portfolio on the "name_surname" domain and side by side with blogs with photos of cats and a honeymoon with his wife. In the CIS, it is more customary to hide your details and personal life.
It really depends on how much you open your soul in a blog - if you write about politics or describe all the details about relationships or how you had a fight in the housing office, then you shouldn’t transfer it there - customers and employers still don’t need to know all the ins and outs of your life.

I also started blogging about creating websites and stores on WordPress 2 years ago. Created a portfolio page on the blog. There were customers, but mostly freeloaders, who almost for nothing wanted a whole store, and even with goods (I do it on a wokomers). I had to develop the blog in different directions as an alternative. Now there are different topics: health, interior, tourism, earnings, and of course WordPress. I plan to earn on affiliate programs. And there are not enough clients by profession. Probably, it was necessary to write more articles specifically on the topic of WordPress + wookomers))). But you must have a blog. This is organic traffic with a target audience. It will take several years to unwind (2-3 years). But the result is worth it. Here is a link to my blog for an example: https://www.reactiv.top
