When you use sublime text for free, do you have access to the full functionality of the program?

Is it possible that the difference between the paid and "free" versions is only in an annoying window that periodically pops up, saying that an unregistered version of the program is being used? Or I'm wrong.
Relatively recently, Atom has appeared , which is free and which is practically not inferior to sublime in functionality.
Given this fact, why would anyone prefer to buy a sublime license for $70 (used to be $20) instead of switching to a free alternative? Or does sublime still have advantages over Atom that are worth the $70?
What editor do you use and why?

The difference between the paid and free version is really only a pop-up window, but don't be surprised by the lack of some $70 perks. With this amount, you express gratitude to the creators of the program and nothing more. Perhaps there is also a clause in the license that the free version is only for small companies and private developers, but I did not read it carefully.
About Atom = Sublime. In most questions this is true. If you pay attention to numerous reviews, you can say with confidence that with the development of Atom, even surpassed Sublime in some ways, but still slightly inferior to it in performance.
So it doesn't matter what you use. And there is no guarantee that the same pop-up will appear in the next version of Atom.

Sublime has one advantage, which is abbreviated coding, but Atom also has an abbreviation if you use the emmet plugin. And so I think not.
And if you need the full version of sublime, then the Internet is full of codes for a crack
