I am faced with a choice to buy a Mac Mini now and change the HDD in it to an SSD and RAM from 4 to 16, or wait for a new one with a processor and video (built into the CPU) of a new generation and, hopefully, an SSD and more memory in the basic configuration. (it would be better and cheaper to buy a new one and not upgrade, but I don’t want to wait longer than until February).
The Internet rummaged through both Russian-speaking and English-speaking, found even summer promises of an early update and forecasts that, on the contrary, it will not come out very soon.
I decided to turn to the collective mind of Habr, what are your thoughts about the release date and the expected configuration / characteristics?

On October 22, there will be a presentation of new Apple products. Maybe they'll say something. Although according to rumors and judging by the invitations, the main “highlights of the program” there will be iPads.

I suppose they will replace the processor this fall, but you should not wait for a solid state in the standard configuration. SSDs have not yet come close to HDDs in terms of capacity to price ratio.

Compiled Hackintosh on ga-z87x-ud5h.
It turned out, of course, not mini (in size - I collected it in ATX, but the place is not very critical for me), but powerful and everything works out of the box.
