When to start studying PL in English?

Hello. My level of English is pre intermediate. I opened the book in English, it seems that the meaning of what is being stated is clear (some words will have to be translated), but I'm afraid to miss something. Is it worth it to complicate the study of PL, and when to study in the original?

There is always much more information in the original language and it is not distorted by the translation. So get started instead of asking. At first, it was not easy for everyone - there are certain technical terms that cannot be taught anywhere

pre-intermediate - OK for reading technical books. Be sure to read in English and translate unfamiliar words, and very soon you will be reading fluently without a dictionary. Also read articles and blog posts in English.

There is a lot of information in Russian (of course, not as much as in English), so why complicate your life? + pre intermediatle is rather weak for technical books.

If this is your first YaP, read the first textbook in Russian, because. you need not only to learn the language, but also to understand the general principles of programming. Subsequent books in English. And in order not to miss anything immediately after reading, fix what you read in practice - it works in both Russian and English. By the way, there is an opinion that Python is not the best option for the first PL. ))
The second and subsequent PL can/should be taught in English.

I don’t know how applicable my example is (I’m a beginner) - I started on YouTube videos in English. I couldn’t watch in Russian - either it’s very tedious (they are loaded with theory), or it’s incomprehensible. Just don’t watch the guy from India, he spammed everything with his videos with terrible shit code (makes database queries from templates). After him, I rethought anew what and how it works. In general, watching a video as someone is coding is still a pleasure (as much fun as looking at a wall). Now I'm studying on a toaster + documentation, but 1.5 months ago, the docks were not at all mastered. it is important that how it starts, where and in what files - this is clearly visible on the video and you cannot immediately enter the docks from scratch. Therefore, I do not recommend starting from the docks, you can lose interest. I think practice

In addition to all the above tips, look for information only in English. For example, when something is not clear, write in English (albeit broken). Read English forums. Read reddit and so on. Runet at least. English is very fast

If the meaning is clear, then study in English, but it’s better not to translate the words, but to look at the definition in order to read and understand the meaning, as you read in Russian.
PS It's only difficult when you start reading a book, then there are almost no new words and it becomes easy.
