When starting Android Studio through the terminal, it pops up: ignoring option MaxPermSize=350m. What to do with it?

When launching Android Studio through the terminal, a warning pops up:

OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM warning: ignoring option MaxPermSize=350m; support was removed in 8.0

What does this mean and what should be done about it?
