When should we expect the first NODE vector editors to appear on the market?

It's no secret that the 3D graphics industry has long used the principles of NODE editing. When should we expect the first full-featured, NODE, vector editors to appear on the vector graphics market? Are large companies developing in this area? Why hasn't any of the major players in the industry done anything like this yet, and why do startups continue to release vector software like Affinity Designer, which is basically the same as Adobe Illustrator?
