When should Google charge my Nexus 7 card?

Such a situation: I want to order a Nexus 7 in the USA. I have a friend there, so I decided to send it to his address, but pay for the purchase from my card.

Using the advice from articles on Habré about buying a Nexus 7 in the USA without the help of friends, I went to Google Play and made a purchase. I chose my card (the details on which I changed to the details of a friend) and the delivery address, respectively. I immediately went to checkout.google.com/updateCreditCard and selected the same card again. After that, I already found 2 letters in the mail ..., the second of which definitely came after the update, but about the first one, I'm not sure if it came earlier.

Sometimes money is debited when they start preparing the order for shipment, if there is no money on the card at that moment, nothing will be sent and you will be sent a letter about the impossibility of debiting the amount from your card.

2) After ordering, Google freezes money, but does not write off. When the order is already sent, then they withdraw the money to the ends.
