When does a freelancer get paid on Upwork?
The agreement with Upwork states that funds are automatically credited to the freelancer within 90 days from the date of confirmation of the completed work by the client (clause 6.4).
It also states that:
- for hourly rates: remuneration is paid after the expiration of the dispute or guarantee period .
- at a fixed cost: remuneration is paid after the end of the warranty period
The warranty period begins after the client accepts and approves the work provided by the Freelancer by clicking on the "Make a Payment" button.
Questions:
1. What are the actual terms for crediting money to the account in the upwork after How did the client accept the job?
2. What are the realistic terms for receiving money to your bank account after the client has accepted the job?
3. Does Upwork automatically withdraw money to a bank account or do I need to order a payment every time? If automatically, how often?
4. How long is the dispute and warranty period and who sets them?
5. Are the answers to questions 1-4 the same for the hourly rate and for the flat rate?
Thanks for the answers
