What would you recommend reading and studying for an R&D engineer to gain a solid foundation in computer science?
I am an R&D engineer in a shipbuilding design bureau. My responsibilities include some automation of engineering processes, calculations and statistics processing. Therefore, I often use Python to develop small applications and analyze using pandas, etc. I have a feeling that I lack the basic computer science knowledge to program more efficiently. What would you recommend reading and studying to gain a solid foundation? Now I practice on codewars, I'm taking a data science course on Coursera. The goal is to become more or less confident in programming in order to do minimal software development and data science.
Thanks in advance.
