What Windows to put?
A friend brought a laptop and asked to speed up (you programmer). Note:
hdd
8 GB ram
cpu core i3 6100u (2 cores)
At the top ten slows down. Loaded processor and disk. Installing an SSD is not an option. Doesn't play games. Maybe put 7 or 8.1?
UPD: offer only windows versions

10ka should fly - if not - something is wrong with the laptop, maybe you install a 32-bit Windows, then 4 gigabytes of RAM will be available there, and not 8 (are there 32-bit tens at all?)
And if the choice is between 7 and 8.1, then of course 7
The bottleneck is hdd, a dozen without ssd slows down a lot, it's not a matter of inability to configure, but that it tinkers with the disk too much and in general, too many underprogrammers leave their marks in this piece forever.
For those who are especially smart - a task to backfill, to make the calculator (not necessarily a regular one) run by hot keys or even by the multimedia 'calculator' button immediately, and not think for about 1-3 seconds.
In winXP and Win7 this problem did not come up, applications are launched by hot keys immediately, now they don't.
ps above suggested to install linux, believe me - THIS IS THE DECISION!
Installing an SSD is not an option.Putting an SSD is the only option in this case.
offer only windows versionsAnd what side is the version of Windows???
On such a process and with this amount of memory, 10 should work very well. Wangyu, the reason for the brakes is the HDD.
