What Windows Store apps do you use on your desktop?
Condition: Windows 8 on a desktop/laptop without a touch screen.
So far, I have found only a convenient client for Reddit. So, Skype and Evernote - I like the usual ones more.

Mail, Calendar, Weather, Armed!, Skype, Reddit to go
Mail for notifications (in live tile and over apps when mail arrives) and for reading. For dense work with mail, I open gmail in the browser.
Calendar is quite convenient, it connects with Google (those with a phone on a bucket).
Weather - nothing to say, live
Armed tile! cool simple game, play regularly over
skype network due to notifications again, and it can be docked to a small part of the screen handy
Reddit handy app, better than through a browser.
And, a self-written Russian-English dictionary, I also felt VS2012 and Modern UI. Convenient search: Win->type word->5xdownarrow->enter
I honestly tried to "accustom" myself and use at least Skype.
As a result, I concluded that for me personally, Windows 8 on a laptop without a touchscreen is useless.
Weather, news and mail. Clear and simple. I'm almost used to Skype too. TuneIN still occasionally plows in the background.
TuneIn, Remote Desktop, Mail, Windows Phone, Evernote, Barcode Generator, Weather
