What will happen to Storage Spaces if the SSD allocated for cache dies?

In 2012, the Storage Spaces technology appeared on the server.
Actually the question is, if the SSD disk allocated for hot data fails, then what will happen to the system? Does anyone have such experience?

With system in which SS is created? - nothing. It is located on another disk, well, the array fell off, and figs with it.
If on this array there is a disk of a virtual machine or something else - well, the same thing will happen as if a regular disk fails.

Disconnect the wire from the drive while you work, and you will have the same experience.
