What will be better: - iron vpn or software?
The goal is this: you need to connect remote computers to the server, and work with 1s., And here the problem is, what is better to use, there is little experience in this ..
There are several objects, the Internet is via 3g modems, without white ip.
I thought through Radmin VPN, but some kind of unstable one can fall off and not connect.
You can buy pieces of iron like Mikrotik hAP (RB951UI-2nD), buy MIKROTIK ROUTERBOARD 3011UIAS-RM for the base and build a vpn with them, based on white ip.
Please advise how to organize this whole thing, there are essentially no restrictions in the budget .., but the cheaper the better)
Thank you!

Of course, hardware is better :) There is one problem with a VPN running directly on a computer - if it is dead - who will configure it? But there is no connection, you can’t reach it yourself. Mikrotik, on the other hand, can simply be sent as a backup, configured in advance. And the chances that he will die are much less than the comp.
You must understand that the "iron" in your example is not a VPN implemented in the "chip". Mikrotiks have their own processor on which the operating system runs, VPN is implemented there in the same way as the software version, even with a high probability the same software is used that you would use in the software version. But often hardware manufacturers modify the software according to their understanding of the problem and some functionality that works in the standard version in the hardware does not work or does not work at all. Some hardware manufacturers have their own VPN implementation.
But if you are not well versed in the topic (or you do not have a person who understands the topic), then it makes sense to use the VPN built into the router. There, at least out of the box, there is usually a more or less tolerable web interface and, in principle, setting up a VPN is not difficult.
However, in the "software" version, you can also screw the interface and there are more configuration options, but this will require deeper knowledge.
By the way, no one forbids doing a "hybrid" VPN. If VPN is implemented in hardware using some standard protocols, then you can use its software version at those points where it will be convenient, and use the "iron" VPN in other places. In general, there is no point in driving yourself into the iron / software framework - act according to the circumstances.
On account of white IP - for VPN you will need at least 1 white static address, on which you will deploy a VPN server. You can use the dynamic white address + DDNS scheme, but this is not an idea. VPN clients can use gray addresses. Under the VPN server, you can rent a VPS or deploy it somewhere on your site where there is already a white address.
I can recommend hydemyname. Good and relatively cheap vpn. The most thrill for me is that any applications go through a VPN, and there is also the ability to connect 5 devices at once. In the current situation, a very good option. If you also sign up using my link, it will be super. https://hidemy.name/#623cc3f4de403
