The best way to bypass the Great Firewall of China?
Hello!
I moved to China with the confidence that a good paid VPN would help me deal with the inconvenience of being blocked in the country. However, it turned out that:
- Most commercial VPNs simply do not work (there was hope for WindScribe)
- VPN without additional settings is very unstable in principle For
two days I was reading all possible articles:
- I tried to raise my VPN on a cloud server via Wireguard
- I tried the Psiphon application
- I tried most of the popular and not very VPN
As a result, the only more or less working VPN turned out to be Mullvad (not advertising), however, comparing the data transfer speed over the cable with VPN and without, it turned out that the speed without VPN was about 100 mb / sb, with VPN with huge ping almost none
In correspondence with support, I heard from them that the best bundle is VPN through the Shadowsocks bridge. I set it up in principle, it became a little better and more stable, but still not very satisfactory.
Given that I still have more than 25 days of quarantine, I wanted to know if there are any ways to improve the stability and speed of communication bypassing the great Chinese firewall?
On the Internet and on Habré, I found articles that are either no longer relevant, or for commercial use (on Habré)

Hello to you too.
1 option. You buy a VPS with KVM virtualization, install OpenVPN on port 443 on it, and sit down.
Option 2. You buy a VPS with KVM virtualization with CentOS 7, install Mikrotik Cloud Hosted Router on it and also set up OpenVPN on it.
Do not use the main IP address of the VPS for VPN, it is better to buy additional ones and use them, since IP addresses will still be banned and you will need to change them to fresh ones just using the main non-banned IP VPS. With Mikrotik Cloud Hosted Router, you can do it on the go.
Whether this is beneficial, I don't know. But you will have your own VPN with your own guaranteed speed.
IPv4 addresses are expensive. If it is possible to use IPv6 addresses, then it will be many times cheaper.
