What version of Ubuntu to put on the server?

What is the best version of Ubuntu to install on a server in 2018? And what is the bit depth for a server with 1 GB of RAM and a single-core processor?

Debian stable.

Looking for what. Definitely x64, and the version depends on the applications. Not everyone can be adapted for 18.04.

64 bit, 32 can't pull more than 4GB of memory
servers don't exist anymore

Since there is little memory, in order to better utilize the available memory, it is better to take a 32-bit assembly.
I would put 16.04 (not the newest and not outdated).

it is obvious that the last lts is 18.04,
well, if there is no more memory, then it is possible x32
if more than 4 will be x64

I would put 18.04, but with the bit depth you need to look at what will be put on the server, although 64 bits already seem to be the standard everywhere.
