What unusual forums do you know?

The question is something like this: what kind of forums do you know in an unusual design? Those. we are not talking about phpBB and the like, but about unusual forum concepts, with a column design, displaying messages in the form of balloons, etc. Those. not the forums they are used to seeing.
I remember that in one of the collections of interesting things for a web developer on Habré, an unusual forum flashed with the concept of a columnar display of topics and a suitable design. I would be grateful if someone could help me find it too.
Why do I need it? In my project I want to implement user groups and communities for communication, but I don’t want to do something banal - I need to get inspiration from something and make it cool.
