What type (platform) to choose for a technical blog?

There is a LJ blog "about everything", with lytdybr, politics, kittens, boobs and a bit of technology. Now I want to make a technical (information protection) blog separately, and I'm thinking which platform to choose - either standelon, or LiveJournal, Facebook or all sorts of worpress, blogspot, typepad, gitpages.
The goal is to create a small specialized community, make new contacts "on the topic", demonstrate "how smart I am" to potential contractors and employers.
Resources - I have skills, I have my own servers, domains - so the standelon will not cost me any extra.
My thoughts: In terms of the level of impression for the reader - standelon is certainly the coolest - own design, own domain, in general, "everything is like in grown-up boys". But the “frenching” aspect is confusing - firstly, it is probably harder to drag a visitor to it, and secondly, even if the visitor comes, reads and likes it, it is unlikely that he will bookmark me in the browser. Broadcast via RSS? And how many read through it? It seems to me that for some LiveJournal or FB user - is it much more convenient to friend on LiveJournal/FB? or how?
Take ready-made sites like livejournal or facebook? For discussions and long-term relationships, they are better suited, although not as solid. And also, which one is better? I had little to do with fb, but it seems to me that the role of the community is less there, and the platform itself is less focused on long articles and discussions (confirm or refute).
Maybe I forgot some other special technical blog hosting? (It seems to me that they would be appropriate on Habré or on some stackoverflow).
First of all, the issue of recruiting an audience and keeping it is important. (no monetization - absolutely not required) A
similar question was: Blog platform: standalone or LiveJournal (but already three years ago - the world is still changing. Then, for example, GitPages did not exist at all, and facebook was much less known with us)

Make at least on joomla! can. And on the blog, give the opportunity to subscribe either by soap, or RSS, or in social networks (to which you will need to send previews of articles). Each user will choose the method that is convenient for him.

Ghost as a platform - very handy for writing articles. Plus a twitter account where you'll be notified of new articles with their title. You can also notify in parallel on Facebook (IFTTT).
One of the best options.

Blog on wordpress and maximum integration with social networks.
Repost to all popular social networks, social sharing buttons under posts. Cheat accounts with social networks, flirting with the audience in social networks to show that the account is alive and managed by people. Rss, email newsletters best of the week, fake comments under posts, integration of comments from social networks (and quick registration through them).
I will say this: blogging is half the battle - it is also important to devote time to socialism, unless of course you want a popular thematic blog, and not a dead one of which there are thousands in Runet alone.
