What type of replication for MS SQL Server should I choose?
Good day,
Colleagues, there is such a situation:
There is MS SQL Server 2012 Ent edition, it contains a database for some software. This software has some functionality, which during its work starts constantly sending huge queries to the database, because of this it is not possible to use the software normally, because sometimes the function execution lasts up to two and a half days, with the execution of such queries that all other queries take a long time are in line. It is clear that the point is in this software itself, or rather in the implementation of this particular functionality, but unfortunately we can’t do anything. We decided to think about what could help us, and as a result, such an idea was born - there is a database, let's call it Master, let's create another one and let it be Slave. All changes that are made to the Master must go to the Slave, but at the same time, updating any data in the Slave must go to the Master (it is planned, that there will be no addition or removal to the Slave). What I described is nothing more than database replication, but the question arose of which type would suit us, given that changes should occur instantly, if at all possible.
Thanks in advance for advice and help.
