What type of microphone for videoconferencing should you choose?

There is a need for videoconferencing in the premises that are still being renovated.
A PC with a TV from a table with a microphone will be located 3 meters apart. A network cable for the USB-Ethernet adapter will be laid between the USB hub on the table and the USB port on the PC, or just a long USB cable.
Two types of microphones and associated equipment are considered. These are USB microphones that will be tied using the VB-Audio Virtual Cable. And microphones with XLR or 6.35 TRS outputs connected to the mixer (available).
For now, we give preference to the option with USB microphones due to the ease of connection and the absence of fuss with the mixer and other things, but I would like to know the opinion of more competent specialists.

From the point of view of a more competent specialist (I have been dealing with audio equipment, including videoconferencing for more than 10 years), especially through USB-IP* and various virtual cables, a USB microphone is a collective farm and a source of glitches and delays, which are unpleasant in such events and create bad reputation for the organizers.
The oakier the circuitry (and XLR** mics through a mixer are the dumbest thing you can think of), the less likely there are to be glitches and failures.
You can (try) to buy a digital mixer, adjustable through software - then no smart guy will twist the settings on it. Analog mixer can be simply set up and take a picture.

*If you decide to shove a USB-Hub into a USB-IP, it will probably send you to the forest, because the USB-IP developers also want to eat tasty and expensive food, and such a cheap way to take this opportunity away from them will be blocked.
**Throw TRS out of your head, it's for karaoke at home through the music center, as it is unbalanced

The mixer has not gone anywhere, with Virtual Cable you will also have to equalize levels, etc., which is done exactly once, as in the case of hardware. Bonus VC will mercilessly shatter your CPU (for Fourier transforms) and the audio subsystem.
