What tools/software do you use to test mobile applications?

Platforms of interest: iOS, Android, Windows phone, Amazon. Interested in other platforms as well.
1) In general, please tell us what tools / software you use to test mobile applications.
2) And what knowledge/skills are needed for such testing? Besides sql, english and oop.
3) How deep do you need to know Xcode, Swift, Java, if at all?

Typically, mobile applications are tested by hand.
There are solutions for autotesting with scripts.

There is (was) another solution for iOS, but I don’t remember it now, I’ll look for it, add it to the answer.
I have no experience with other platforms, so alas. I think there are similar tools out there too.
There are (were) automated bug tracking solutions as well. There was TestFlight, now it is not clear what happened to it.
For testing, as always, you need English, experience with the platform (at least everyday use, so as not to look where there is something), and a general understanding of testing as a craft. This includes testing classification (smoke, regression, acceptance, other, etc.), scenarios, bug life cycle.
It is desirable to have experience with bug trackers. And programmers.
