What to use Rapid Storage or iron ride 1?
Good afternoon, I'm interested in this question.
I have two SSD 240gb disks installed in iron Raid 1 in LSI SAS 1064E with Sata 2
and there are two more 500gb hard disks also installed in Raid 1 in the same card (both storage and backups)
Mother Asus Q170M-S supports Intel Rapid Storage Raid 0.
The question arose, if I transfer the SSDs that are installed in Raid 1 to software raid 0, make a reservation for an iron raid (raid 1).
what does it give me? on the mother Sata3 + increase from Raid 0. of the minuses, if anything, then everything on the SSD dies.
The question is how reasonable and reasonable it is?

I'm sure LSI can do two raids for you, one raid-0 from the ssd, and a second raid1 from the hard ones.
If you already have a piece of iron, use it - it is usually better sharpened than what is in motherboards.
