What to use for synchronization?

The problem lies in the synchronization of work projects. The fact is that in every nodejs project there is a node_modules folder and there are usually a lot of files in this folder. And when synchronizing (now I use dropbox) , everything is very bad , and I'm already tired of constantly ticking folders that do not need to be synchronized.
I use Git, but not all projects are in Git, and sometimes uncommitted changes need to be synced.
Advise something for synchronization where there is something similar to gitignore, if it exists (I know about Bittorrent Sync, but as I understand it, you need your own server there).
Thanks in advance!

@rez0n

It's probably easiest not to store the library folders in the project's sync folder.
PS. Bittorrent Sync doesn't need a server, it's P2P.
