I now have two future masters, and if they themselves come up with topics for themselves, then it will be something.
You will not be doing work in a vacuum.
You come to the department / laboratory to the most interesting teacher / researcher and say - hello - I want to do work for you - what topics are there for the master.
The teacher scratches his head and says - well, we have such tasks - la-la-la ... Or he says - I have a bust of students - go to %TEACHER'S NAME% as you are.
This is how it is done in normal universities.

Something like:
- automatic passage of a route by a flying drone (copter) in a metropolis and limiting the maximum flight height,
or let's say
- control of a cluster of flying drones, positioning relative to each other, group tasks for complex actions (like carrying things, simultaneous shooting from different angles etc.)
